You can configure your iPhone to connect to your email server via POP3 or IMAP. We recommend IMAP so that you are not downloading email messages to your phone which can consume a lot of disk space over time. The following instructions will help you configure your email account via IMAP.
Name: Your Name (This is used when sending emails so recipients know who the email is coming from other than by just email address.) Address: username@domain.com Password: the password for your email account Description: this is used when listing your email accounts in your phone so you can identify the correct account.
Host Name: mail.domain.com User Name: username@domain.com Password: the password for your email account
- Some people have found that using Port 25 is often blocked, preventing them from sending email from their iPhone. If this is the case, please use the alternative port, 2525 instead.
- If during setup you are asked if you want to continue without SSL, choose Yes. SSL is not needed for this setup.
