Waukesha Foundry is a leading manufacturer of complex castings for the food processing equipment, aerospace tooling, petrochemical, defense, pump and valve, and industrial markets. The forward-thinking company established its first website in 1998 to showcase their experience, credibility, and capabilities within the diverse markets they serve.
Today, Waukesha Foundry continues to be on the cutting edge. But their old website did not convey them as an organization that provides products and services used by many of the world's fortune 500 companies.
To improve the user experience, Foremost Media began by understanding the target audience of the website. We found a wide range of visitors with varying demographics and tech-savviness through surveys and discussions with the Waukesha Foundry team. These discussions led to the discovery that many customers were choosing their services based on their industry and not capabilities. This discovery shifted the focus of the homepage content towards sectors served.
Is your website meeting your goals?
If not, contact us and let’s discuss how we can make your website work for you!
During the redesign, a primary focus was to drive more contact conversions by making it easier for website visitors to e-mail or call. Foremost Media implemented several "Calls To Action" that appear on every page. These CTAs helped guide visitors down the conversion path throughout the site.
Existing customers needed a way to find access to certifications and other resource documents quickly. The design team implemented this information in the top navigation and provided clear, descriptive buttons on relevant pages based on the website analytics and surveys.
The site was built with a responsive bootstrap grid, allowing it to work great and looks fantastic on any mobile device. Even though mobile currently represents a small portion of the website visitors, this number is trending upwards. Google’s switch to mobile-first indexing also makes a mobile-friendly site a requirement.
Waukesha Foundry's goals were all accomplished with the new design. Users are engaged longer, the conversions are up, and we are ecstatic to have another happy Foremost Media customer from the process.
These websites are client updateable and may no longer represent Foremost Media’s original design. (Our Art Director requested we say that)
