  2. Add the "Pin It" button to your site. Adding a "Pin It" button to your site will encourage website visitors to pin your products or content to their boards and will help increase exposure.
  3. Verify your site with Pinterest. Once you've set up your Pinterest business account you will have the option to "Verify" your website. This requires you to add a meta tag to your website in order to verify that you are the owner of the site. Once this is completed, you will have access to analytic data through Pinterest that will show you, in detail, which pins are performing the best, how much traffic your website is getting and much more.
  4. Create 4 - 5 initial boards. Start out your profile by creating four of five boards that include a wide variety of items. Do not solely focus on your products or services. Add one or two boards showcasing your products, include a board that represents your company culture, and create two or three other boards that feature pins your target market will be interested in (Inspirational Quotes, Humor, Tips, etc.).
  5. Complete all data. Be sure to completely fill out your company description as well as board descriptions. This information will influence the number of searches your brand will show up in.
