Cayman Condos is a vacation property management company founded in 1989. They offer condominium rentals along Seven Mile Beach in the Grand Cayman Islands.

The Challenge

Cayman Condos contacted Foremost Media after noticing a significant decline in traffic to their site in 2013.

The Solution

Foremost Media conducted an analysis of Cayman Condos’ website structure, traffic history, and other SEO factors like backlink quality. We determined the website design was outdated and the homepage was link-heavy. In addition, we suspected a Panda update may have penalized the website for its lack of user-friendliness.

To improve keyword rankings relevant to their users’ intent, we focused our efforts on optimizing phrases such as “Cayman Islands condo rentals,” “vacation rentals Grand Cayman,” “Condos in Grand Cayman,” “Seven Mile Beach condos,” and “Caribbean beach resorts.”

The Results

After a complete website redesign launched in November 2013, Cayman Condos’ web traffic doubled in comparison to the previous year. Homepage traffic increased from 9,500 to 11,500 over a one-year period, and nearly half of the 18 targeted keywords currently rank on Page 1, with 25% ranking in the top three positions. By January 2015, traffic levels had returned to pre-penalty volume.
