Elder Life Group provides financial planning services for seniors planning retirement and those facing unexpected crises. Their old website was outdated, lacked functionality, and was difficult to navigate. They hired Foremost Media to create a new site that would address these issues.

Large Menu Items Improve Navigation

The Foremost team worked closely with Elder Life Group to create a design, content, and page structure that would meet the client’s needs. One of the biggest challenges with the old site was the difficult navigation; a text-heavy layout with small font sizes and confusing navigation menu made it hard for agents and potential clients to find the resources they were looking for. We resolved this by creating large menu items and headings with simple content, even around complex terms, enabling even the least technical-savvy visitors to intuitively find the information they were looking for.

Custom Cost of Care Calculations

To further improve navigation, we implemented a custom Cost of Care feature that provides simple calculations for long-term care expenses. Users can determine projected costs for in-home care, community/assisted living, and nursing home facilities for their home state, allowing them to plan ahead.
