Mound City Bank

Mound City Bank has been serving its community with financial services such as personal, mortgage, agricultural, commercial, and trust banking since 1915. The bank has six branches and employs over 78 full-time equivalent staff members, with assets in excess of $450 million.

The Challenge

Mound City Bank came to Foremost Media looking to rebuild their existing site in WordPress and to migrate their hosting over to us. They were eager to preserve the familiar look and feel of their site, but to also improve its capabilities, search rankings, and inclusivity. The project would ultimately involve updating elements like the menu, footer, and other important pages, as well as optimizing for better SEO and accessibility.

We rebuilt their website in WordPress with the DIVI theme due to its user-friendly features and flexibility. Without altering the original theme, we made some strategic improvements, including reorganizing the navigation and footer for a more intuitive user experience. We also provided them with SEO recommendations for greater exposure, and implemented Accessibe features to help with ADA compliance and accessibility for all.

The transition to WordPress has made managing the site much easier for Mound City Bank, with the freedom to make updates quickly and independently. The revamped design has improved navigation and the overall user experience, SEO enhancements have strengthened their search engine rankings, and the Accessible integration guarantees the site is accessible to everyone.
