Prelude

Rock River Thresheree is a nonprofit living-history organization that celebrates agricultural heritage through its annual Rock River Thresheree community event, featuring antique tractors, steam and gas engines, demonstrations, and more. They came to Foremost Media in desperate need of a new website, one with a modern design, mobile responsiveness, and online ticket sales for their annual event.

Modern Design Meets Heritage

We set out to design a new website that feels modern, but pays homage to the rich tradition and history behind the Rock River Thresheree. The moment you land on the homepage, you’re now drawn right to the upcoming event with clear calls-to-action such as a bold, “Get Your Tickets Today!” button at the top and further callouts to view event schedules and learn more. We naturally wove in historical content and the story behind the event so visitors could connect with its heritage.

Effortless Online Ticketing

One of Rock River Thresheree’s biggest needs was the ability to sell tickets directly online. So, we utilized a Ticket Events plugin that enabled people to buy tickets right on the website. After buying, they receive their tickets by email and can even add them to Apple Wallet if they want. This made things way easier for everyone; fewer lines at the gate, less paper to deal with, and a better check-in for the organizers and attendees. We also made sure the new site looks and works great on phones and tablets.

A Site Built to Grow and Engage

The new website has made a noticeable difference since launching. Online ticket sales have increased, visitors have an easier time finding information and buying tickets. On event days, check-in lines are shorter thanks to digital ticketing. The Thresheree team can now spend less time on website maintenance and more time focusing on the event itself. They are confident that the site can support their future growth.
