With the recent development of their Ironworks location in Beloit, WI, they wanted to give their website a “facelift” to echo the modern design of their brand new, state-of-the-art facility.
When the YMCA approached us with this redesign project, some of their main objectives were to improve the navigation by reducing clicks and employ larger image graphics to engage users. All of this needed to be accomplished while following the YMCA’s strict branding guidelines.
Based on the target demographic of female mothers age 25-55, we knew this mobile responsive website would have to be just as easy to navigate on a cell phone, tablet or your desktop computer.
To improve navigating the site, we reworked the sitemap and created a dropdown with a mega menu which enables the user to navigate anywhere within the site with only one click.
