This is a nopCommerce tutorial to show you how to edit message templates on your site. You're going to select message templates from under the content management menu. Once that loads, you'll see that there are various templates that are the standard outgoing communication from your website.

I'm going to set it to display 50 so you can see all of them here. You'll see that in many instances there's a customer notification and a store owner notification. So there's two versions based on who it is sending to. To edit any of these items, just click on edit and then you will see the HTML here in the body for that email. So that can be customized if you want to add anything, a special note on certain messages that are outgoing from the website.

If you expand and show all the tokens, you'll see what is available. It's going to pull items from the store, maybe order info or customer info or store info. That's denoted by where it says store(.) or customer(.). If you are adding that, you want to make sure to capture that whole token with the percent signs on either side and paste that into the body down here. You can kind of see how that is laid out. You want to make sure that you enter the HTML properly or it's going to mess up your formatting. So you do unfortunately need a little bit of HTML knowledge to get that updated to some degree.

And when you are toggled into advanced mode, when you scroll down, you're going to see a few extra settings aside from just the active setting and test template. You're going to be able to add a BCC. So if there's certain messaging you want to go to an email address other than the main store email, you can add that here. You can also select which email account it is sending from. So if you wish to have one account notified for a new customer, registrations for instance and one as the send from for order communication, you can toggle that there and they would have to be set up as an email account in the configurations for emails.

You have the test template so you can actually click on that, you can enter the various fields that are in that template and enter dummy info and then hit send and then that will send the info, send the sample to whatever email address that you specify up here on top and then you have the option for send immediately if you so wish and anything such as attach static file and then if you have a multi store you can also set what stores; store or stores it is limited to.

So that is how you can go about editing your email templates or message templates on your nopcommerce store.
