In this WordPress tutorial we're going to cover the use of Elementor. Elementor is installed on your website. You're going to see it in the bar here on the left. So we've got a couple pages here set up in our local test environment that we're going to use for training purposes here and we have a homepage set up.

You can see that it's using Elementor because it actually lists it here. So we can open that page and click edit with Elementor. If Elementor is installed on your website you can also choose to edit with that even if the page has not yet been edited with that. And once doing so we recommend that you would continue editing that using Elementor.

So once you get into edit mode here you're going to see down the left hand side basically elements that you can put into your page content. We have a few things in here just some placeholder content and an image.

So in order to add any new elements you can basically drag those into the region. So if we wanted to add a heading here underneath we can just pull in there. You see there's a blue bar and then once you do that you have your heading in there that you can then modify. You can also style them here on the left. So if you want to change it to a smaller heading like that and also align it.
1:32
And then right now it's just using a blue style and you can also flip to the style tag and then modify that. Now if your site does have a theme in place you can also rely on your theme to take care of those styles rather than styling them here. If you do not style them via Elementor it should use the styles in place with your theme. If it is a site that we built for you then you'll be using a different, most likely a different builder, most commonly Divi Builder, and we'll be covering that in another tutorial.
2:17
But in terms of some of the pre-purchase themes, Elementors is the one that's in use that we generally recommend. So you can modify the heading that way and get your heading in there and click update. That's going to update the page. If you want to edit something that is existing such as the text, you click in here, you can get in there, type over it, modify it as you would normally. You can see that some of the common styles like bolded or line italic are here.
2:53
Also ability to add a hyperlink so you could select your text, choose hyperlink. type in, or paste in if you copied it from something else or type it in the URL that it should point to and then you'll get your hyperlink that way.
3:09
There's also the ability to choose your headings, block quotes, also code, and then you also have your number and bullet lists. So you kind of have a mini WYSIWYG editor here of sorts with the with those items and that will allow you to edit some content in there.

So if we go back to the blocks. So if we go back to our blocks here you'll see that there's quite a few. There is an accordion for Pro so if you do have Elementor Pro it does provide a lot more options.
3:58
We just have the free version installment here because that's the most common version you're going to see that comes with a purchase theme with the Elementor builder. So you'll see that there's also a few other general ones you know it gives you things like testimonials, accordions, so on and so forth. So that is how you can go about adding blocks and modifying your content with Elementor.
