An Outdated Website in Need of Change

Downtown Beloit Association supports the businesses, events, and community activity that bring people into the heart of Beloit, Wisconsin. Their old website’s dated presentation felt out of place for such a welcoming community, and the aging structure behind it began raising security concerns. Seeking a modern replacement for this severely outdated WordPress website, the Downtown Beloit Association team turned to Foremost Media.

A More Welcoming First Impression

The redesign introduced a refreshed homepage that better represents the energy of downtown Beloit. The previous layout had grown dated and no longer created a strong introduction for visitors exploring the district online. By converting the site to the Divi framework, Foremost Media was able to reorganize content into a clearer structure and give the homepage a more modern look that feels more on par with the welcoming character of the downtown atmosphere.

Improving the Structure Behind the Site

Attention also turned to the condition of the site behind the design. The previous website relied on an aging structure that had begun limiting functionality and complicating routine updates. During the rebuild, plugins were upgraded and adjustments were made to the site’s underlying structure to improve stability and reliability. The website now runs more consistently for visitors, and the experience carries across devices, including when viewed on phones and tablets.
