The Sunshine House is an early childhood education and child care provider with learning programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children at centers all over the United States. They reached out to us to lead a major upgrade of their digital presence by redesigning their website on the latest version of Umbraco.

A Bright New Digital Experience

This was a milestone project as it marked Foremost Media’s first website built on the Umbraco platform, and one of our most custom builds to date. Sunshine House’s previous website was outdated and didn’t reflect the lively and nurturing identity of their brand. Our goal was to build something that truly captured their mission and spoke directly to the families seeking care and education.

Design with Personality

Bringing warmth and character to the site was a creative passion for our team. The brand’s nurturing spirit and child-centered focus were matched with custom illustrations woven into the design – such as a giraffe peeking out of the footer, hot air balloons, clouds, and other playful child-themed graphics that make the design visually expressive of Sunshine’s personality.

Functionality That Works for Families

Beyond the exciting visuals, this was a large custom development effort. We built a new "Find a Location" feature to help users to easily search for nearby centers, view relevant details, and take action. The site was integrated with their ERP system to automate the process of routing contact inquiries and the scheduling of family tours.

The Sunshine House team expressed strong satisfaction with their new website, as it now feels like a true reflection of their values and quality of care. It’s intuitive, secure, easy to manage, and full of delightful graphics to engage with the children whom they serve.
